Isn’t it one, amazing idea of just sitting at a window table in the afternoon watching the day pass by as you flip through the pages of your favorite novel? Characters of this book pinch your nose, shake hands with you, tweak your ear and say out loud “read me more, travel my journey along with me”. We know you’re smiling reading right there.

Rose Café is my favorite spot to be whenever I am in and around South Delhi. Rose Café is situated in Said-ul-Ajab in Saket and its interiors are breathtaking. Delicate, gorgeous, literally as pretty as a picture, this café in Saket in Delhi is a secret garden in the hustle and bustle of the big, busy capital. If Enid Blyton and Pinterest had a lovechild, it would probably be this café.

Famous for its Italian dishes, this restaurant will offer you everything to swallow! I meant – swallow the musings of famous authors. This café’s interiors are a real charm to the visitor’s eyes. The costliest item on the menu will cost you only Rs. 200! You can pick up a magazine, newspaper or comic to read while you sip some coffee inside the incredible décor.

Hailing from New Delhi, Saumya wears her heart on her sleeve for her city. An ailurophile and an author of two novels; she is a voracious reader and divides her time between studying authors and cooks, often simultaneously! Alongside the day job, she’s currently trying to work on a travel blog (The Road Taken and Written) representing India. She can be found on various corners of the internet, but most frequently on Facebook and Twitter as “isaumyakaushik”. If you’re ever interested in discussing Harry Potter, Saumya re-reads the series at least once a year, so drop her a line.
